How Conversa began

Hello! I’m Emma, and I started Conversa in January 2019. After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a degree in French and Hispanic Studies, I came back home and took some time out to work, and get TEFL qualified.

Demand quickly increased for French, Spanish and English lessons, and in June 2019, I took over the license for La Jolie Ronde Isle of Man - language lessons for children ages 0-12.

As we stand, we currently teach private students online,, and teach classes in a number of primary schools on Island (12 schools and counting!).

If you take a look at our Tutor section, you can see our team of tutors who take both our La Jolie Ronde lessons, and some of our private lessons too. All of our tutors are police checked, native or fluent speakers, and safeguarding trained.
